Time-travel walks

History where it happened

Cinematic walks through
Bossche history

Are you spending a day in 's-Hertogenbosch, or would you like to rediscover your own city? With a few hours to spare, you can step straight into Bossche history. De Bossche Tijdmachine combines local stories, heritage knowledge and cinematic imagination. Read more

Site in test phase

We are still finalising films, texts and route checks. Some walks can already be viewed or tested; the full selection is expected to be operational by mid-August 2026.

What makes our time-travel walks special?

What makes a Bossche Tijdmachine walk special is that at certain points on the route an entertaining and informative video opens about that period. You are drawn into the past while the present city remains around you. Each video lasts one or two minutes.
